Maria and... the Christian Rome 


The itinerary starts with St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican because it represents the centre of christianity.
Everytime she stops at the Popes' graves, especially at John Paul II 's to which she is very attached, and then continuing to the dome from which she can admire the landscape of Rome and the beauty of the Vatican Gardens.
Carrying on towards Castel Sant’Angelo and the St. Mary's Basilica in Trastevere, you can't miss a stop at Mario’s, a typical restaurant here from the '30s.
Their "cacio e pepe" (a typical Roman dish with pasta, cheese and black pepper) deserve a "food stop" before continuing towards Bocca della Verità and St. Mary's in Cosmedin Basilica, very particular because it's a Greek-Byzantine church, with a different structure respect the Roman Catholic churces.
Finally, Maria suggests some relaxation at Circus Maximus where you can admire the vastness of space and nature and imagine the famous races with the Roman chariots.
PS: Maria has also a treat for dinner: Doppio Zero and its tasty cous cous with peppermint and raisin with a glass of Ribolla Gialla!

 

 

Valentina and... Rome seen from the top

 

Her typical day in Rome starts with a stroll from Colosseum and the Imperial Fora to Piazza Venezia where it's possible to admire the Vittoriano, an amazing monument the always leaves Valentina breathless! The museum inside the building cannot be missed, situated at the top of the monument with a terrace that offers and amazing view of Rome. The best hour for a visit? For a romantic person like her, at sunset!
After this view the stroll continues towards Piazza del Popolo along Via del Corso (with several stops at the stores) up to Pincio, another beloved place because it's possible to admire Rome from the top. Valentina enjoys all the views and panoramas of the city!
In the end, a walk in Trastevere, typical Roman neighborhood for a lovely night. Don't miss a stop at Luppolo Station to enjoy live music and drink an excellent beer with your friends!
